Dockhand
Join the Freedom Boat Club team as a Dockhand for the 2025 season! Dockhands play a vital role in delivering exceptional experiences for our members.
Responsibilities include:
– Using the reservation system to manage member bookings.
– Maintaining and preparing boats to ensure they are clean, safe, and ready for member use.
– Assisting members with carrying belongings, boarding, docking, and questions in regard to the club.
– Driving boats to refuel and deep cleaning vessels.
– Documenting tasks and boat conditions using various software systems.
Job Details:
– Offered hours: 7 AM – 3 PM and 1 PM – 9 PM.
– Requires the ability to lift heavy items, work in outdoor conditions, and get on/off boats.
– Pay is based on experience, and dockhands receive tips.
– MUST BE 16 OR OLDER TO APPLY
Dock Lead
Responsibilities include:
– Managing and adjusting dockhand schedules for both assigned locations.
– Working 40 hours weekly, with weekend and holiday availability required.
– Performing/overseeing daily Fleetio inspections of boats at both locations.
– Reporting and managing any damages to boats, equipment, and docks.
– Monitoring weather conditions.
– Training new dockhands.
Job Details:
– Leadership role overseeing dock operations at two Lake St. Clair locations.
– Active, hands-on work environment.
– Requires the ability to lift heavy items and get on/off boats.
Maintenance Operation Assistant
Join the Freedom Boat Club team as a Maintenance Operations Assistant for the 2025 season! This role is vital to ensuring our fleet is safe, clean, and ready for our members.
Responsibilities include:
– Performing routine maintenance on boats, such as oil changes and general upkeep.
– Deep cleaning vessels to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
– Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues, including propeller changes.
– Test-driving boats to ensure proper functioning and safety.
– Using systems like Fleetio to track damages and required maintenance.
– Safely driving and maneuvering boat trailers.
Job Details:
– Heavy lifting is required.
– Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
– Active, hands-on role in maintaining and managing the fleet.
